Territory Development Manager


Want to help us become an outstanding sales and service team? We are looking for a Territory Development Manager (12 Months Maternity Leave Cover) to support Sales in our Northland business (Whangarei Based).

 The Role:

  • Varied workload role between Sales and Operations in our Northland business (Think four days per week in the trade, connecting with customers and one day per week supporting our operations). Let’s be honest, no two days will be the same
  • Being truly customer driven to deliver on commercial outcomes, driving growth and share of our customers business
  • Coordinate important aspects of our Northland operation so that we can continue to deliver for our customers today, so that they are better tomorrow
  • Partner, negotiate and communicate with customers to attract, retain, and grow their accounts
  • Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
  • Analysis of customer performance to create strategies to grow
  • Identify new opportunities and leads across the territory. You will love the hunt

  • Ambitious, well organised results orientated sales and operations professional willing to immerse themselves in the Gilmours Northland business
  • A work ethic to match the ambition – this isn’t a role for the faint hearted
  • An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercially, customer driven, solutions
  • A love of, and interest in foodservice is highly desired
  • A valued team member aligned to our Gilmours values: In It Together, Be Courageous, In It Together, Above the Line
  • Use, and knowledge, of CRM tools e.g Salesforce and SAP preferred
  • Proximity to living close to, or in, Whangarei will be advantageous
  • October – November start ideal so you can hit the ground running into the busy summer season
